An after-school volleyball practice at a private school turns into a conversation about race and privilege in PWIs, uncovering the ways in which inequities can go unseen in these communities.

When a black woman meets her partner’s friends at an all-white gathering, she tries to make a good impression but is thwarted by her own suspicions and paranoia that the friends are or are not as welcoming as they seem.

In recent years, A24 has successfully paved the way for indie and distinctive films. A24 is an independent distribution and production entertainment company that was founded in 2012. Over the past decade, they have increased their filmography with many famed and well-acclaimed works.

In recent events, several states have been considering or have enacted anti-transgender bills. Two specific bills are being reviewed in these states. One bans gender-affirming surgeries for trans youth, and the second bans transgender women and girls from playing both school and extracurricular sports.

During this past year, hate crimes towards Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) have increased dramatically, especially in heavily populated areas like California and New York.

It’s been a year since COVID-19 first made its official appearance in Los Angeles, and the number of cases and exposures have been at an all-time high.
